I have always had a love-hate relationship with hospitality. The work can be incredibly tough at times but easy during others. No matter what the circumstance, the work always ended up very rewarding to me. There is something so addictive about working in a team under the pump. I believe students generally want to work for money during the holidays, but life can bring on many unexpected events. Particularly, there is an addiction like no other pouring a perfect cup of coffee for someone else to enjoy.
Whatever students wish to do, having skills in hospitality can be very useful. Besides learning to pour the perfect cup, I’d love to impart the skills of communication, learning how to deal with failure and grit to students. These skills are rewarding and I believe are crucial for young adults who are just entering the first stages of adulthood.
Currently working as a paralegal for PKG Injury Lawyers as I complete my part time legal studies at Curtin.

Worked in over 20 venues in Perth in the last 7 years of hospitality. Venues such as Como the Treasury and Crown which are the pinnacle of hospitality in WA.

I’ve devoted over a decade to coffee.
I graduated with my graphic design major in 2015. In the first-ever coffee competition I participated in, I managed to secure second place and I was thrilled.
I found passion in coffee early. It gave me the confidence to be myself, and sharing this love with people is my purpose. The coffee industry desperately needs more skilled workers, especially after covid. I am devoted to sharing my knowledge and building a solid foundation for future baristas to fall in love with this industry.
